Japan’s cosplay scene is bringing beloved anime and game worlds into the real world. On October 3, <a href="https://comicvibe.com/2026-postseason-schedule-results-and-how-to-watch/” title=”2026 postseason schedule, results and how to watch”>2026, Reiyer’s will host a cosplay photography event at Gransnow Okuibuki in Shiga Prefecture, where participants can use the expansive autumn landscape as a backdrop.
With pampas grass, mountains, rivers, rocky areas, forests, water spots, and a traditional wooden building available as photography locations, the event offers a striking natural setting for cosplay.
Popular Anime and Game Characters Come to Life Through Japanese Cosplay
Previous Reiyer’s photography events have featured cosplay inspired by popular anime, games, and manga including Demon Slayer, Gintama, Pokémon, Genshin Impact, Touken Ranbu, Arknights, The Legend of Zelda, Rurouni Kenshin, Naruto, and Fate.
These photographs show how Japanese cosplayers bring familiar fictional worlds into real Japanese landscapes. The combination of costumes, photography, and natural scenery creates a distinctive way to experience anime and game characters outside the screen.
The October 3 event continues this approach at Gransnow Okuibuki, offering another opportunity to capture cosplay against the changing scenery of Japan’s autumn season.
