Jack revealed that his father had been dealing with multiple medical complications leading up to the show.

“There was like something with his heart and he had some like artery stuff going on,” he said, adding that Ozzy had experienced “a ton of medical kind of mishaps leading up to the show.”

Despite the warnings, the Prince of Darkness was determined to give fans one final performance.

“They were just like energetically, this is going to … this is not good. This is not good. Like you don’t have it in you,” Jack recalled of the doctors’ concerns.

Although Jack admitted he was heartbroken over his father’s death, he said he wasn’t angry about the rock legend’s decision to perform despite the medical warnings.

“But he wanted his journey. And so I can’t … I’m not angry at that,” Jack explained.

“I think everyone wants to at least have some say in how they go,” he continued. “Obviously, deeply heartbroken that he’s gone but also he went the way he wanted to.”

Ozzy performed his final show with his Black Sabbath bandmates Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi and Bill Ward at his “Back to the Beginning” farewell concert in Birmingham, England, on July 5, 2025.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” his family said in a statement provided to Fox News Digital at the time. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

Ozzy’s death certificate listed cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease.

Jack’s emotional reflections come as his mother, Sharon Osbourne, has also opened up about the final moments she shared with her husband of 43 years.

During an appearance on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” Sharon, 73, broke down in tears as she recalled her last conversation with the rock legend.

Sharon explained that Ozzy had been “up and down” throughout the night before waking her around 4:30 a.m.

“He said, ‘Wake up’ and [I said] ‘I’m already bloody awake, you’ve woken me up,'” Sharon remembered. “And he said, ‘Kiss me.’ And then he said, ‘Hug me tight.'”

Sharon emotionally confirmed that those were the last words her husband said to her before he died later that morning.

The former “The Talk” host explained that Ozzy would often wake up early to exercise and had followed his usual routine on the day of his death.

“He went downstairs and worked out for 20 minutes and passed away,” she said.

Sharon recalled hearing “screaming” inside their home before rushing downstairs and discovering that attempts were being made to revive her husband.

“They were trying to resuscitate him and I’m like ‘Don’t. Leave him. Leave him. You can’t. He’s gone.’ I knew instantly he’s gone,” she recalled.

“And they tried and tried and then they took him by helicopter to the hospital and they tried and it’s like, ‘He’s gone. Just leave him.'”

Sharon admitted that her grief following Ozzy’s death was so overwhelming that she “couldn’t function.” She also struggled with regrets about their final exchange.

“If only I’d have told him I loved him more. If only I’d have held him tighter,” she said through tears.
