IDW Publishinghas begun digitally publishingYuki Imada’sSonic the Hedgehog: The Blade of Couragemanga series exclusively on its app service. The first chapter is now available for purchase to read, as of late July 2026. New chapters will arrive every three weeks, with chapter two set to debut on August 19, 2026.

The fan-favorite manga Sonic the Hedgehog: The Blade of Courage manga has finally received an official English translation! Follow the Blue Blur, known for being the fastest thing alive, as he teams up with Yuta, known for being a slowpoke. Together, they’ll travel through the jungle, encounter many formidable foes, and hopefully save the world!
In chapter one, Sonic and Yuta meet for the first time! The two get roped into an adventure when a robber threatens the safety of train passengers.
Imada began serializing theSonic the Hedgehog: The Blade of Couragemanga in Shogakukan’s Monthly CoroCoro Comic magazine in June 2025. A single tankobon volume was published in Japan in December 2025.
Imada also previously worked on theShadow the Hedgehogmanga series from September 2024 to February 2025. The series will be released in English at a later date.
IDW Publishing has released multipleEnglish-language comic booksfrom SEGA’s Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, including an ongoing monthly comic series that was first launched in April 2018.
