After falling behind 3-2 in the series, Atlanta kept its championship hopes alive with an impressive 80-69 victory in Game 6 on Thursday. Allisha Gray led the Dream with 23 points, while Rhyne Howard added 21 and Angel Reese contributed 15 points and 13 rebounds. Atlanta jumped out to a commanding 20-point halftime lead and never looked back, forcing a winner-take-all showdown with the franchise‘s first championship on the line.
Golden State will look to bounce back on its home floor after missing an opportunity to close out the series. Gabby Williams scored 26 points in Game 6, but the Valkyries struggled offensively in the first half and could not overcome Atlanta’s early advantage. With Williams, Veronica Burton and Tiffany Hayes leading the charge, Golden State has one final opportunity to complete its remarkable championship run in just its second season. Saturday’s historic Game 7 will crown a first-time WNBA champion.
This is a great WNBA matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
