The Phillies on Friday will open up another high-profile series against a potential World Series contender, this time with the New York Yankees — and likely a lot of their fans — heading to Citizens Bank Park.
The Bronx Bombers will enter play with the second-best record in the American League but a two-game deficit to the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL East. Three-time MVP Aaron Judge could miss the remainder of the regular season, so he won’t be around; the Phillies’ main focus instead will be quieting Ben Rice, who carries 30 homers and a .956 OPS into the weekend.
They won’t avoid Cy Young contender Cam Schlittler, who toes the rubber on Friday against Jesús Luzardo. The Phillies could roll out a bullpen game on Saturday against left-hander Ryan Weathers.

Of course, the Yankees are always a draw, including on the airwaves. Two games will be on national TV. Here’s how to watch each of the three:

There will be an interesting television broadcast booth for the game on Sunday. Jason Benetti will do play-by-play alongside color commentators John Kruk, former Phillies managerJoe Girardi. Former Cincinnati Reds slugger Joey Votto will make his broadcasting debut as a field-level analyst.
Scott Franzke will return to the Phillies radio booth on Friday night.
