Gum Gum Fruit is not an ordinary floor loot item that you can find in Fortnite, and it is one of the One Piece Mythic Items to be added as part of the collaboration. Like the other Devil Fruit – Flame Flame Fruit, you will be able to find the Gum Gum Fruit appearing through a Rift on the Crossbones Isle map. When it spawns, every player in the lobby is alerted to its location, so expect competition. Once someone picks it up and eats it, a message goes out to let everyone know it’s been claimed.That makes this a race, and you will have to check your map for the alert as soon as it appears. Landing near the spawn point isn’t always possible, so try to rotate toward it safely.
How to turn into Luffy
Select the Gum Gum Fruit in your inventory and consume it. You transform into Luffy and can stretch your limbs in combat. One difference from the anime: you still take damage while transformed. It offers no protection, unlike the vaulted God Mode Llama, so you can’t just walk through gunfire. Water also hurts you while holding a Devil Fruit, so stay out of it. You can only carry one Devil Fruit at a time.

Gum Gum Pistol is your basic attack. Press the Fire button to stretch your arm and hit targets in front of you. It can be charged, and depending on the charge, it deals between 50 and 150 damage.Gum Gum Rocket is the mobility move. Hold the ADS button to charge it while aiming in the direction you want to go, then release to launch yourself. The longer you charge, the farther you travel. It has a 20-second cooldown, but it looks like the best mobility tool in the current loot pool.Gum Gum Battleaxe is a mid-air follow-up. After releasing the Rocket, press ADS again to bring Luffy’s foot down and damage enemies in a small area around you.
Completing the One Piece quest in Fortnite
One of the One Piece quests asks you to travel 250 meters using the Gum Gum Rocket. Depending on your launch angle and height, you can cover around 200 meters in a single go, so this takes only a couple of uses.
