Tsunomaki Watame, a fourth-generation hololive VTuber, will be singing the opening theme “Respawn!!” for the upcoming animeNia Liston: The Merciless Maiden. The update was announced on the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) page.

According to Watame’s statement in the announcement, the song will reflect Nia Liston, the series’ main character, and her personality.
KONAMI animationwill be animating the series under the direction ofMotoki Nakanishiwith assistance fromHaruta Segi. The series composition will be handled byGigaemon Ichikawa, whileYuki ItoandKana Tosaokawill both work on the character designs. The anime will begin airing on October 6 this year.
Nia Liston: The Merciless Maidenis a light novel series written byUmikaze Minamino, with initial illustrations byJishakufor the first two volumes and illustrations byKatana Canatafrom the third volume onward. The series was first published on Shosetsuka ni Naro from May 2019 to January 2021 before Hobby Japan’s HJ Bunko acquired it and serialized it in September 2022. As of June 2026, 11 volumes have been released. A manga adaptation with illustrations byKabuto Kodaihas also been serialized in Square Enix’sManga Up!since November 2022.
J-Novel Clubhas serialized the light novel in English for North America, describing the synopsis as:
