October rolls on with some great content on sibling streamers Disney+ and Hulu. Marvel fans will be psyched for the debut of VisionQuest, which finally follows up on the promise of WandaVision. Meanwhile, the rest of the calendar is stacked with the Hunger Games franchise, popular TV shows, and the Banana Bowl, whatever that is. Here’s everything coming this week.

Disney+ Review
This Week on Hulu and Disney+: PCMag’s Picks
Hokum (October 10, Hulu)
Looking for some spooky season thrills and chills? Then this year’s Hokum is worth a watch. Adam Scott plays a writer who travels to Ireland to lay the ashes of his parents to rest, but when he visits the hotel where they honeymooned, he’s confronted by tales of a witch who kidnaps children. Could there actually be a malicious crone tormenting the countryside, or is something much weirder going on?

The Lowdown: Season 2 (October 2, Disney+ and Hulu)
There are certain TV show creators who just don’t miss, and Sterlin Harjo is one of them. After the success of Reservation Dogs, he followed it up with The Lowdown, which has a vibe unlike just about anything else that’s streaming. Ethan Hawke plays bookseller Lee Raybon, whose conspiracy-driven investigations get him in unexpected trouble. Set in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the show has a unique charisma that’s only going to get cooler with Tommy Lee Jones joining the cast in this, the second season.

VisionQuest (October 14, Disney)
After the events of WandaVision, Marvel fans were curious what would become of our favorite synthezoid (look it up!). Jac Schaeffer, that show’s creator, was scheduled to helm this follow-up as well before bowing out of the Marvel machine, and VisionQuest has been kicking around in development for a bit. Now, after the Vision returns to life, he must figure out who he is, dodge bounty hunters looking to bring him down, and reconnect with a teenager who may or may not be his son.
