As with other games, a Pokemon tournament took place this week at High Speed Collectibles.

For the past three years, High Speed Collectibles has been hosting different card tournaments every week. Since they began hosting these tournaments, the business has created a weekly schedule of tournaments for everyone to enjoy. Starting Monday with an all-day board game event, the pay-to-enter tournaments start on Tuesday with a Pokémon League competition. Wednesday is Warhammer, Thursday is Bandai & Kohami, Friday is Riftbound Constructed, and Saturday is open to all card games and competitions, with pizza for anyone who shows up that night. Wrapping up the week on Sunday is a casual Pokemon day for all ages.
During their Tuesday Pokemon event, an average of four to five people turn out to enter the competition in hopes of winning Pokemon sanctioned prize packs and booster packs that High Speed Collectibles provided. With the current competition season on its break, the large tournaments will begin back up in August as the next season kicks back up. During these regular-season competitions, players can win tournament points. If a player collects enough points throughout the season, they can work toward competing in Pokémon Worlds, an international tournament that brings in hundreds of thousands of players worldwide.
Even in the off-season, these tournaments bring in a wide variety of players, young and old. As older players help guide newbies through any complicated rules and the best deck set-ups, new players get to enjoy the game without the fear of being left behind. So even if you are a new player looking for friends and mentors, or an older player looking for fellow skilled players, High Speed Collectibles is the place to be.
