ICv2 has reported thatHarperCollinswill launch a new manga imprint called Kazé. Seven titles will be announced for U.S. release later this year, with the imprint including offerings for both children and adults.
Editors for HarperCollins’ Kazé imprint will host an<a href="https://animenyc.com/programming/#/event/kaze-industry-panel” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>industry panelat this year’s Anime NYC convention on August 22, 2026. It is scheduled to run from 12:15 PM EST to 1:15 PM EST in room 1A15-18. The panel will feature a behind-the-scenes look at launching Kazé and a “sneak peek at the titles coming in 2027.”
HarperCollins announced that itacquiredthe French publishing company Kazé (separate brand from the new U.S. imprint) in July 2025 from Crunchyroll, which had been operating it as part of its European manga division since 2022. The first volume ofMamakari’sPlus-Sized Misadventures in Lovehas already been released with the Kazé imprint, as of June 2025.
HarperCollins’ Harperer 2025, as well asTomihiko Morimi’sThe Tatami GalaxyandThe Tatami Time Machine Bluesnovels in July 2023 and November 2024, respectively. It will publishSaeko Himuro’sOcean Wavesnovel in English for the first time in March 2027
