HAIKYU!! the Movie: VS The Little Giant (Movie 2) revealed a new concept visual, highlight Hinata and Hoshiumi. The film is set to premiere in Japan in April 2027. HAIKYU!! Where the Monsters Go (Fukurodani vs Mujinazaka) also shared a visual and trailer. You can check out all the announcements in the Haikyu!! The announcement was made during the third Haikyu!! RECEPTION special program, which streamed on the TOHO animation YouTube channel for the annual “Haikyu!! Day” on August 19. Ayumu Murase, who voices Shoyo Hinata, and Kaito Ishikawa, who voices Tobio Kageyama, both appeared on the program. Haikyu!! manga editor Ritsuki Azuma served as the MC.

Earlier today, the franchise revealed a new JUMP MV music video featuring “PHOENIX” by BURNOUT SYNDROMES. The song was previously used as the first opening song for the TV anime’s fourth season.
Haikyu Final 2-part movie previously revealed a teaser visual and trailer along with a 2027 premiere date for its second part Haikyu the Movie: VS The Little Giant. Production I.G. was confirmed as the animation studio, with Susumu Mitsunaka in charge of the direction and script. The movie will cover the match between Karasuno and Kamomedai.
Interestingly, the official website previously removed the “Final” wording from the branding, suggesting that there may be something beyond the project.
Haruichi Furudate is the creator of the Haikyu manga (stylized as Haikyu!!), which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2020. Production I.G was in charge of animating both the movie and the TV anime. The first season aired in 2014, followed by the second one which started in Fall 2015 and finished in Winter 2016. Season 3 ran for 10 episodes in Fall 2016, covering Karasuno vs Shiratorizawa match. Season 4 was titled Haikyuu!! To the Top, and it ran for 25 episodes over two cours – Winter 2020 and Fall 2020. In addition to the TV anime and recent movie, the franchise also has multiple recap movies, OVAs, side stories, stage plays and games.
