The Haikyu!! RECEPTION #3 program featured several announcements for Haikyu!! Day on August 19, led by new information for HAIKYU!! the Movie: VS The Little Giant and the special anime HAIKYU!! Where Monsters Go. Both are set to release in 2027.
Ayumu Murase, the voice of Shoyo Hinata, and Kaito Ishikawa, the voice of Tobio Kageyama, appeared during the program. Haikyu!! manga editor Ritsuki Azuma served as MC.
The first announcement was Haikyu!! Character Remix: Bonds – Hinata and Kageyama, a special two-volume manga collection focusing on the relationship between Hinata and Kageyama. The books will feature select scenes from across all 402 chapters of the original manga to focus on their forged bond. Both volumes will be released in Japan on September 4, 2026.
A new collaboration between Haikyu!! and Japan’s SV.League was also announced. Furudate drew new illustrations of Kotaro Bokuto, Korai Hoshiumi and Kiyoomi Sakusa for the collaboration, which will promote the league during its upcoming season.
Another new illustration was revealed, drawn by Black Clover creator Yuki Tabata. Tabata illustrated Toru Oikawa for the fourth Haikyu!! Volleyball Card Game!! BREAK booster pack, titled “Talent and Sense.” The illustration will appear as a special “Itadaki Art Vobaka” card. The booster pack opened for pre-orders on August 19 and will be released on October 24, 2026.
New information was revealed for the upcoming Haruichi Furudate Haikyu!! Exhibition: Challengers. The third newly drawn key visual, titled “Approach (Tobio Kageyama).”
The exhibition will focus on the development of Shoyo Hinata, Tobio Kageyama and other characters through original manga manuscripts, along with newly drawn artwork by Furudate. It will run at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Tokyo, Japan from October 30, 2026 until January 11, 2027.
Additional merchandise was also shown, including a poster featuring the new Kageyama visual and a blanket using newly drawn “Mini-Q!!” character illustrations. A collaboration cafe will operate in Ginza during the exhibition, with more details to be announced later.
The program also revealed details for the third Gekidan Haikyu!! stage production, titled Winners and Losers. The production will move into the Interhigh preliminaries and introduce Date Tech High School. A main visual, cast information and announcement video were released.
The program also highlighted Haikyu!! TOUCH AND CONNECT, the franchise’s first puzzle game, which launched earlier in 2026. The game has players connect “Puzzle Balls” featuring characters from the series.
Finally, anime news came at the end of the program. HAIKYU!! the Movie: VS The Little Giant revealed a new concept visual featuring Shoyo Hinata and Korai Hoshiumi. The upcoming movie will focus on Karasuno’s match against Kamomedai, setting up the confrontation between the two spikers who share connections to the “Little Giant” title.
The special anime HAIKYU!! Where Monsters Go revealed a teaser visual and action trailer. The visual features Fukurodani ace Kotaro Bokuto and Mujinazaka ace Wakatsu Kiryu with their teams’ banners behind them.

The August 19 celebration also included the premiere of a new JUMP MV combining Furudate’s Haikyu!! manga artwork withBURNOUT SYNDROMES’ “PHOENIX,” the first opening theme from Haikyu!! TO THE TOP. This was revealed prior to the special program.
Haruichi Furudate is the creator of the Haikyu manga (stylized as Haikyu!!), which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2020. Production I.G was in charge of animating both the movie and the TV anime. The first season aired in 2014, followed by the second one which started in Fall 2015 and finished in Winter 2016. Season 3 ran for 10 episodes in Fall 2016, covering Karasuno vs Shiratorizawa match. Season 4 was titled Haikyuu!! To the Top, and it ran for 25 episodes over two cours – Winter 2020 and Fall 2020. In addition to the TV anime and recent movie, the franchise also has multiple recap movies, OVAs, side stories, stage plays and games.
