Brandi Glanville’s loved ones are grieving a devastating loss.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum shared her dad Guy Glanville—also dad to kids Tricia Glanville and Michael Glanville with wife Judith Glanville—has died. He was 77.
“My dad died, I’m gutted,” Brandi wrote on X Oct. 10 alongside a broken heart emoji. “I hate this life right now.”
Though she did not confirm her father’s cause of death, the reality TV star, who has been public about her own health struggles, previously shared insight into Guy’s deteriorating well-being.
“Been completely off the grid,” she wrote on X in May. “Dad in cardiac unit at the hospital & it’s day 13 now. We are both medical mysteries. Pray for my dad Guy Glanville.”
Over the years, Brandi has been open about her rocky relationship with Guy, including a period of estrangement that followed the pair’s 2018 appearance on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition.

“My dad and I, we left the show in a great space and then, when the show aired, we haven’t talked since,” Brandi <a href="https://www.etonline.com/media/videos/brandi-glanville-claims-dad-stopped-speaking-to-her-after-marriage-boot-camp-exclusive” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>told Entertainment Tonight shortly after the show’s season premiere. “He’s not done TV before, and I warned him ahead of time, ‘They’re not going to be able to show everything that we shot. They’re going to show the highlights, so you have to write down notes and understand it’s going to be the highlights of what we shot, and don’t get mad—you’re gonna get mad all over again,’ and ultimately, he did.”
Indeed, while the 53-year-old—mom to sons Mason, 23, and Jake, 19, with ex-husband Eddie Cibrian—was used to the repercussions of living her life in the public eye, her father’s experience in the spotlight put a strain on their relationship.
“For him, I think he cares what his friends and everyone was saying about what they saw, and I thought they gave him a great edit, to be honest, ’cause he was a little bit worried,” she explained. “But, no, we haven’t talked since, unfortunately. But I love him dearly. He’s everything.”
And while she noted at the time she was leaving the ball “in his corner” to patch up their relationship, the pair had reconciled by 2020, when Guy defended his daughter in her public feud with Denise Richards, saying in a video shared on Instagram at the time, “My daughter may be many things, sometimes an a–hole, but she is not a liar.”
As Brandi mourns the loss of her father, she’s also had to endure a yearslong health battle, which she recently shared she will undergo facial surgery for in hopes of getting answers.
“Something is in my face eating it,” Brandi said on the Oct. 8 episode of her Unfiltered podcast. “I’m pretty sure there’s some sort of worm living in my face.”
In fact, the mom of two shared her doctors believe she’s suffering from a fungus that has left her with a benign tumor near her jaw.
“These last four years, I didn’t think I was gonna make it,” she added. “But I’m excited to just get my life back.”
