Finding Her Edge: Season 1. (L-R) Cale Ambrozic as Brayden Elliot and Madelyn Keys as Adriana Russo in Finding Her Edge: Season 1. Cr. NETFLIX
When the temperature drops and winter approaches, there is no better way to get into the seasonal spirit than watching elite athletes on the ice. Many fans automatically assume that means ice hockey, but I mean my favorite sport: figure skating. Figure skating is a beautiful contradiction—flawless grace, sparkling sequins, and soft musicality masking a brutal world of hard falls, fractured mental stamina, and intense pressure.
Whether you are a lifelong fan who tracks the international standings or a casual viewer who loves high-stakes seasonal vibes, we created a Netflix ice-centric selection. From heartbreaking falls to triumphant routines under the arena lights, here are four must-watch Netflix titles to cozy up with this figure-skating season, categorized by the exact mood you are craving!
Spinning Out
The Vibe: Dark, intense, and deeply compelling.
Before the latest wave of skating hits arrived, Spinning Outset a high bar for fictional ice rivalries on Netflix. The series stars Kaya Scodelario as Kat Baker, a high-level solo skater who suffers a disastrous fall that threatens to derail her Olympic dreams. In a desperate bid to save her career, she switches to pairs skating and teams up with the talented resident bad boy, Justin Davis. Evan Roderick previously played high-level competitive hockey before turning to acting. This performance launched his career and ultimately made him one of Hallmark’s most beloved romantic leading men.
Kat and Justin’s sizzling on-screen chemistry and deeply layered performances entirely sold the series to audiences worldwide. Spinning Out remains a favorite because it did more than showcase sparkling costumes and daring jumps. It told a compelling story of how ice skating affects mental health and fractured family bonds. It differed so much from other series that fans were deeply disappointed that Spinning Out lasted only one season.

Finding Her Edge
The Vibe:Addictive, dramatic, and intensely romantic.
For fans of young adult romance and classic sports tropes, Finding Her Edgedelivers on every level and was adapted from Jennifer Iacopelli’s hit novel. It centers on Adriana Russo, a talented skater carrying the weight of a massive athletic dynasty. As one of three sisters deeply embedded in the competitive skating world, the family drama runs incredibly high.
When their family’s skating rink faces imminent financial ruin, the pressure and responsibility fall squarely on Adriana’s shoulders to save their legacy. To boost publicity and funding, she agrees to a high-stakes fake-dating scheme with her skating partner, Brayden, but it quickly blurs the lines as they practice and compete on the ice.
Relationships bubble over when Adriana runs into and kisses her ex-partner, Freddie, at the World Championships. This sparked an intense and addictive love triangle, leading into season 2. Filled with rink-side confrontations, complex sibling dynamics, and slow-burn romance, it is a masterclass in teenage sports drama.

Zero Chill
The Vibe: Lighthearted, charming, and uplifting.
If you are looking for a binge-watch the whole family can enjoy, the British teen drama Zero Chill strikes the perfect balance between sports action and coming-of-age charm. The series features teen figure skater Kayla, whose life is upended when her family relocates from Canada to the UK for her twin brother Mac’s hockey career. What sets Zero Chill apart is its refreshing tone and unique perspective. Unlike the high-stakes mental health issues of Spinning Out or the deep romantic angst of Finding Her Edge, this series is an uplifting, feel-good family watch.
It trades toxic rivalries for heartfelt coming-of-age growth, highlighting a fun culture clash between two very different ice sports. Kayla loves the artistic expression of figure skating, while her brother lives for the chaotic energy of hockey. Forced to adapt to a brand-new rink and city, Kayla must find her footing on the ice while navigating sibling rivalry and new friendships. It is a delightful look at family dynamics and passion colliding under one roof. The series also highlights wonderful supporting characters, including how one teenage girl would rather play hockey instead of ice skate. It’s the perfect feel-good binge-watch.

Glitter & Gold: Ice Dancing
The Vibe:High-stakes, raw, and deeply emotional.
If you want to experience the actual intensity of elite sports, check out this phenomenal docuseries. I’m an avid figure-skating fan, and while I love the fictional series, there is something special about delving into the world’s top skaters. Glitter & Gold: Ice Dancingfollows the world’s top ice dancing duos—including legendary champions Madison Chock, Evan Bates, Piper Gilles, and Paul Poirier—over grueling months leading up to the 2025 Grand Prix Final and the 2026 Winter Olympics.
The series also features the powerhouse French team Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Guillaume Cizeron, whose surprise partnership shocked the skating world before they ultimately captured Olympic gold. Ironically, since many of the other top ice dance teams retired, Fournier Beaudry and Cizeron are the only ice dance team from the docuseries still actively competing this season, recently defending their title at the Grand Prix de France.
This series perfectly balances the glitz of their splashy rhythm programs with the heavy, psychological pressure of partnerships where individual success is entirely tied to another person. It is the ultimate real-life drama to get you hooked during a major competitive cycle.
