GKIDS and Fathom Entertainment have set August dates for the next two films in Studio Ghibli Fest 2026, with tickets on sale now for Tales from Earthsea and Only Yesterday.
Tales from Earthsea, Goro Miyazaki‘s directorial debut, joins the lineup for the first time, marking its 20th anniversary. It screens Saturday, August 8 at 3:00 p.m. in the English dub and Monday, August 10 at 7:00 p.m. in Japanese with subtitles. The English dub features Timothy Dalton, Willem Dafoe, Cheech Marin and Mariska Hargitay.
Only Yesterday, Isao Takahata‘s 1991 feature, returns for its 35th anniversary. It screens Sunday, August 9 at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the English dub and Tuesday, August 11 at 7:00 p.m. in Japanese with subtitles. The English dub features Daisy Ridley and Dev Patel.
Both runs include a post-film bonus featurette: Nippon Television Special with Tales from Earthsea, and Interview with the English Dub Team with Only Yesterday. Tickets are available at GhibliFest.com, FathomEntertainment.com and participating theater box offices.
