Gamescom is set to take place in Cologne this week with the convention opening its doors to both gamers and journalists alike. As the biggest gaming convention in Europe, it’s set to be the place to see and play all the biggest games coming out in the next year or so.
Geoff Keighley, creator of The Game Awards and Summer Game Fest, is hosting Opening Night Live ahead of the conference opening its doors. The two-hour presentation is set to be broadcast globally and will give gamers a deeper look at some games we know about, and some teases for ones we don’t.
If you want to know what time you need to tune in to Gamescom Opening Night Live later tonight, here’s everything you need to know.
Gamescom Opening Night Live start time in the UK
Gamescom Opening Night Live is set to start at 7pm BST on August 25, 2026 .
However, this is when the main show starts. There’s actually a 30-minute pre-show that starts at 6:30pm BST that you’ll want to tune in for if you’re keen to see everything announced in the evening.
That being said, the main show is where all of the major announcements will show up, so if you’re short on time, 7pm BST is when you really need to show up.

Of course, there are plenty more games we’d like to see appear at Gamescom ONL. For me, my main picks would be more detailed looks at Resident Evil Code Veronica, as well as new trailers for Fable and God of War Laufey.
There’s also likely to be plenty of new surprises waiting for us in the wings. With just one day to go, we don’t have long left to wait until all is revealed.
