It will be game -on, in the morning of July, 30, 2026, when the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Kingsley Udeh, mounts the podium at the International Conference Centre, ICC, Enugu, to discuss the innovations technology has brought into the gaming world which is now worth over $197billion

The Minister who has been confirmed as the Special Guest and keynote speaker at the Conference will harp on conversations around gaming technology, regula-tion, investment, innovation and digital transformation.

Themed: Code, Capital and Compliance: Unlocking Nigeria’s iGaming Tech Opportunity, the conference organised by Events Arcade Solutions Limited in partnership with the Enugu State Gaming and Lotteries Commission (ESGC), is expected to attract policymakers, regulators, technology innovators, gaming operators, investors, legal experts and entrepreneurs, even as it will create a convivial atmosphere to explore practical strategies for building a globally competitive and innovation-driven gaming ecosystem.

Udeh is expected to deliver a keynote address on the role of innovation, science and technology in accelerating economic growth, strengthening indigenous technology development, fostering digital entrepreneurship and positioning Nigeria as a continental leader in emerging technology industries.

As governments and businesses across the world increasingly embrace digital innovation to drive productivity and economic diversification, the conference is assuming the huge stature of a forum the Federal Government should leverage on to show commitment to supporting technology-enabled sectors to create jobs, attract investment and stimulate sustainable economic growth.

The conference will feature a lineup of speakers and industry experts from Nigeria and across Africa.
Some of them include Peter Kesitilwe, Chief Executive Officer of the African iGaming Alliance, who will facilitate the Government–Industry Roundtable; Jeremiah Maangi, Founder of iGaming Afrika, Kenya; Kelani Opeyemi Mercy, Co-founder and Lead of Isoftnova Technologies Limited; alongside regulators, compliance specialists, gaming technology developers, fintech executives, legal practitioners, startup founders, investors and other leading voices shaping Africa’s gaming ecosystem.

Speaking ahead of the conference, the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Enugu State Gaming and Lotteries Commission, Prince Arinze Arum said: “The participation of the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology reflects the increasing recognition of gaming technology as an important component of Nigeria’s digital economy.

EGC2026 is creating a platform where government, innovators, investors and industry leaders can collaborate to unlock new opportunities for economic growth, technological advancement and responsible regulation.”

He added that the conference is designed to bridge policy and innovation while showcasing Nigeria’s capacity to develop homegrown technologies capable of competing on the global stage.

“The future of gaming is being driven by technology. From software engineering and artificial intelligence to cybersecurity, payment systems, regulatory technology and data analytics, innovation is redefining the industry.

“EGC2026 will bring together the people and institutions leading this transformation and facilitate conversations that will shape the next phase of growth for Nigeria’s gaming sector.”

The two-day conference will feature keynote addresses, executive panel discussions, regulatory roundtables, technical masterclasses, exhibitions, strategic networking sessions and the Gaming Tech Startup Showcase, where innovative startups will present solutions addressing gaming software, digital payments, fraud prevention, responsible gaming, regulatory technology and emerging digital services.
