The Game & Geek Expo returns to the capital city for year two bringing family fun for all ages.
The annual gaming and pop culture expo returned to the Raleigh Convention Center for its second year. Highlighting the vibrant gaming community in the triangle and surrounding area.
This years exhibition featured an expanded lineup of activities including celebrity guest including WWE Hall of Famers, Ted DiBiase (The Million Dollar Man) and D-Von Dudley of the Dudley Boyz, e-sports competitions, cosplay contest, and over 150 vendors selling games and gaming items.
Family fun for all ages, the event featured a dedicated Kid Zone and gaming area with free to play titles old and new, Pokémon zone with special events and tournaments and a dedicated area for table top and board games.
The gaming exhibition also featured competitions and tournaments where participants competed for over a half a million dollars in scholarships to Barton College, Louisburg College, North Carolina Wesleyan University and University of South Carolina Upstate for use in general education or e-sports specific programs.
Raleigh-based gaming and event organizer Raleigh Retro Gamers LLC hosts the annual event to bring together fans of retro and modern gaming as well as build the community through gaming.
