With just over a week left to the D-Day of spooks, it’s high time the SKIMS founder started pulling out all the cosplay stops, just like every year – and she’s started strong with her first Halloween outing for the year. In a series of photos shared to her Instagram handle, Kim K revealed a sleek head of neon blue hair, a ton of faux piercings and an overall goth glam-coded look. The reference of course was unmissable.
Kim K is Giving Teen – and Her Own!
For Kim K’s first Halloween look of the year, the 46-year-old mother of 4, reversed age like a pro, dressing up as none other than her own daughter North West. North is the first of four kids between Kim Kardashian and ex-husband and rapper Kanye West – and is also the most camera-facing when it comes to being a public figure. While rest of Kim K’s kids have thus far maintained a low-key profile, North has been pretty prolific in her public ventures, style statements and overall cultural impact. All of this to say that this one-sided Freaky Friday switcheroo is less of a soppy mother-daughter moment and more of a cultural callback for the fact that the OG internet icon, has birthed one of her own.
In the photos, Kim K can be seen dressed in a black and white streaked hoodie with goth grafiti on. The blue hair is a perfect shade match to North’s locks as are the innumerable crystals over her face and hands fashioned as piercings. The nails – ghoulishly fashionable, are a moment in their own right, the fan shape embossed in 3D-art across black, white and grey. The jewellery references are all chainmail, albeit frosted while the makeup takes the cake with a heavily-baked base, exaggerated lashes and sans any colour except for contour. Kim K’s photo dump carries a couple of videos as well where she can be seen striking some of North’s most consistent poses – the cub growl and faux shy ones of course, live rent-free in our heads as well as North’s mannerisms. North West’s Personal Style Has Been both a Subject of Debate and Emulation
Edgy doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of what North’s personal style stands to represent. However, the fact that she’s all of 13-years-old, seems to have been quite the bone of contention for several internet onlookers. Kim K Jr’s primary style blueprint includes black grills, gothic clothing, dramatic makeup, bright blue hair, and (fake) facial and body piercings, all of which appear largely age-inappropriate to many.
The style is evidently dark and alt, leading to the more purist sections of the internet to even brand it as ‘demonic’. Incidentally, father Kanye is also deeply disgruntled with North over the same. Kim K though, seems rather proud of her first born, enough to emulate her for Halloween 2026!
