While we just receiveda significant update to Fortnite last week, Epic Games has rolled out a new one today, August 5.
Console gamers will see Fortnite update 5.16 available for download, and this is an unannounced update, so temper those expectations.

Fortnite Updated to Version 5.16 on August 5
So far, Epic Games has not shared an official changelog, the devs do list down the items they’re working on.
Some of the key issues acknowledged include issues with the Ironmouse Sprite and empty Sprite Chests, which should now be fixed.
If note, Epic states, “If you extracted an Ironmouse Sprite and didn’t receive it in your collection, we’ll be granting the Sprite to you in the next few days.”

Nintendo Switch players encountering storage space issues
Battle Royale/Blitz Royale/Reload/OG Top Issues
- [Reload] The “Reboot” action may not work if mapped to a custom bind.
[Controller] Crouch and Confirm Edit may trigger at the same time with custom controls.

Go to Settings > Controller Mapping > Presets > Controller Binding Presets > Custom > Edit

Ensure your Crouch and Confirm/Reset actions are assigned to separate buttons.
LEGO Fortnite Top Issues
- Swivels might break builds
- No notification for unlocking Charm recipe
- ‘F’ key conflict: unable to interact with objects.
- A prompt to flip a vehicle no longer appears when a vehicle is flipped.
- Isabelle won’t talk to players while interacting with the blackboard.
- The Wasp 8000 Motorcycle may float after hopping off while in motion.
- Storm King’s Weak Points and Rift Spawners are immune to damage when an enemy is around.
- Invisible collision in Phase 1 after being eliminated in Phase 2 of the Storm King fight.
- Enemies’ health bars may not appear at times.
- Stuck when exiting the Crusher.
- Bottom of HUD can disappear after using macrobinoculars.
- Lag/hitching issues in the Storm King fight
- Players may get stuck in a cannon if its damaged or falls into water while operating it.
- Consumable buff timers can be overwritten when eating another consumable with a buff
- There is no indication of which direction some furniture is being placed
Save the World Top Issues
- We’re investigating inconsistent weapon damage output, particularly during Mythic Storm King fights.
- [Simple Edit] UI does not update to reflect the reset after editing a structure.
- [Xbox One] Directional Jump Pads won’t activate when Phase Shifting onto them.
- The Hero Commander Buckle+ Perk currently provides reduced effective damage as weapon level increases.
