Fortnite may have accidentally revealed the title of Chapter 7 Season 4 through an in-game news feed post.
The leak comes from a promotion for the new Starshadow Style of the Voidblade Outfit, which can be unlocked by gifting the Battle Pass. In the post, Epic refers to the pass as the ‘Override Battle Pass’, despite the current Chapter 7 Season 3 Battle Pass officially being titled ‘Runners’.
Fortnite consistently places the name of each Season directly before ‘Battle Pass’ in promotional material, suggesting ‘Override’ could instead be the title intended for the upcoming Season 4.
The post states that gifting the Battle Pass will unlock the Starshadow Voidblade Style for both players, with the reward also being granted to those who already gifted or currently own the pass. Alongside the possible Season title, the wording suggests Epic plan to continue offering exclusive rewards for gifting the Battle Pass once Season 4 begins.
Interestingly, the official news promo for the upcoming Gem Sprites also features a subtle glitch effect, with scan lines and coloured digital distortions appearing across the image. Although this could simply be part of the promo’s design, it also matches the digital style suggested by the ‘Override’ name perfectly.
The possible title also lines up with previous leaks, which claim Season 4 will be themed around Gaming Legends. Sonic the Hedgehog, Persona 5, Mega Man and Kingdom Hearts are among the gaming crossovers currently expected to be featured.
At the time of writing, Epic Games has not officially announced the title or theme of Chapter 7 Season 4, meaning ‘Override’ could still be an unrelated internal name. The current Battle Pass is scheduled to end on August 20, 2026. As always, we’ll keep you updated.
