Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Override is almost here, and the excitement amongst the community is at an all-time high. Epic Games has officially released the Override trailer, giving players a proper look at everything coming in the next season.From a stacked Gaming Legends Battle Pass to brand-new weapons, map overhauls, and fresh Sprites, there is an enormous amount to unpack ahead of the August 20 launch. In the section below, we provide you with everything we know so far about Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Override.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 downtime and release
The Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 update is set to release on August 20, 2026. The downtime for the v42.00 update will start at 2 AM ET, and it will likely run for around 6 hours.You are advised to complete your Season 3 quests and Sprite collection well before the servers go offline.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass
Epic Games provided us with a glance at the characters of the upcoming Battle Pass as part of the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 trailer. It is worth noting that Sonic and Geno are the only two skins that we currently know by name. Besides them, the following skins will be arriving:
- Soldier
- Warrior (having a Sword and Shield)
- Fighter Skin (themed on Street Fighter)
- Kart Racer Girl
- Tetris Skin
- Another original Chapter 7 Season 4 Skin
A new Fortnite Sidekick will also arrive with the Override Pass.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 map changes
A few POIs will be removed in Chapter 7 Season 4, while others will remain. The POIs being removed are Calamari Canyon, Frosted Flats, and Sinister Strip. The new POIs being added are Geno’s HQ, Sonic Green Hills Zone, Temple, Spire, and Pac-Man Island.All of the new POIs will be around the Spire that has replaced the Zero Point. It is worth noting that no biomes are being removed, and a brand-new biome has spawned in the centre of the map.
All new Sprites in Fortnite Override
Eight new Sprites will be part of the Override lineup. The complete list includes Bushranger, Sonic, Tails, Jazz Jackrabbit, Klombo, Killswitch, Crown, and one unknown Sprite. Based on the trailer, it is now known that the Tails Sprite will enable you to glide in the air.

All new weapons and items in Fortnite Override
Epic Games will introduce new gear to the Fortnite loot pool in Chapter 7 Season 4, all based on the Gaming Legends theme. The new weapons include the 8-Bit Shotgun, the HJSH-18 Masamune Assault Rifle, and the TKI-20 Shingen SMG.The HJSH-18 Masamune and TKI-20 Shingen are going to be based on the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 Edgerunners collab.Speaking of the items side, three new collab items will be available from August 20: the Sonic Spin Dash Mythic, the Tetriminos Junk Rift, and the Mega Man Mythic.The Sonic Spin Dash will let you run swiftly. The Tetriminos Junk Rift will work similarly to the Junk Rift and summon Tetris blocks. The Mega Man Mythic appears to be a hand cannon with the ability to charge up and deal a special attack.
