Fanatec and Trak Racer are showing new hardware at SimRacing Expo 2026, including early looks at upcoming steering wheels, licensed cockpits and new pedal options.
Fanatec’s main reveal is Project Obsidian, an upcoming steering wheel currently planned for 2027. The prototype features a 5‑inch LCD under a single glass panel, RGB‑lit buttons, illuminated rotary switches and an aluminium build. It is also Fanatec’s first wheel built for SimHub support, with telemetry available over USB or Wi‑Fi, the latter aimed at console UDP data. Fanatec says it is showing the wheel early to gather community feedback before finalising the design.

Also debuting is the ClubSport Formula V3 Oracle Red Bull Racing wheel, inspired by the RB22 Formula 1 car and unveiled by F1 Sim Racing world champion Jarno Opmeer. It uses a 2.7‑inch OLED display, updated ergonomics and forged carbon components, and is scheduled to release in mid‑November.
Fanatec is preparing a home‑user version of the ClubSport Formula Cockpit, previously used at Formula 1 FanZone and Paddock Club events. The revised model keeps the Formula‑style seating position while improving adjustability and compatibility with third‑party hardware. The company has also launched Podium Pedals Sport, a two‑pedal setup offering the mechanical adjustability of the Podium Pedals line, available now with support for upcoming clutch and carbon fibre add‑ons.
Trak Racer’s lineup includes two TRZ Motorcycle Simulators, licensed racing cockpits from Porsche, Alpine and Aston Martin, and several Hot Wheels‑branded setups. The company is also showing the Airbus TR550 flight cockpit, a dedicated truck simulator, a new white TR160 and the TR200 cockpit.
Additional accessories for the ClubSport GT Cockpit are on display, including D‑BOX mounting brackets and new livery panels. Fanatec is also showing the ClubSport F1 Racing System, combining the PlayStation‑licensed ClubSport DD+ wheel base with a Formula V3‑based wheel and paddle module.
