S.C. (WBTV) – An actress who was in many well-known movies and television shows died in South Carolina on Sunday
Sister-station <a href="https://www.foxcarolina.com/2026/08/17/police-actress-hayden-panettiere-found-dead-greenville/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>WHNS reported that <a href="https://comicvibe.com/hayden-panettiere-who-starred-in-the-television-series-heroes-and-nashville-dies-at-36/" title="Hayden Panettiere, who starred in the television series ‘Heroes’ and ‘Nashville,’ dies at 36″>Hayden Panettiere was found unresponsive at the Judson Mill Lofts apartments in Greenville on Aug. 16. The station reported that medical assistance was given but the 36-year-old died.
It was not immediately clear how Panettiere died, although WHNS reported that Greenville police said preliminary investigation has not revealed any signs of foul play.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden,” a statement from her father read. “She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen.”
Panettiere made her way onto the big screen from a young age, playing Coach Bill Yoast’s daughter, Sheryl, in the award-winning 2000 film “Remember the Titans.” She also starred in popular TV shows “Heroes” during the 2000s and “Nashville” in the 2010s.
Her “Nashville” co-star Charles Esten held a concert at Judson Mill in Greenville on Friday, Aug. 14.
Panettiere would have turned 37 on Aug. 21.
