The unit control in the turn-based battles is the most comfortable in this genre. The vibration function is used effectively, and the easy access to the settings is also convenient. The story, a group drama featuring four warriors and involving time travel, is very interesting, and the developments from the Heroic Games onward are exciting. I enjoyed thinking about what to prioritize while acting freely. I also like how easy it is to earn money in quick battles.
Immerse yourself in an epic story where you interfere with past heroes and change the future. There are plenty of cutscenes, and the drama of the four main characters is deeply moving. The uplifting music is also wonderful. While the basic system is inherited from previous works, new strategic elements such as the powerful “Blaze Arts” usable by some units have been added, making it very satisfying to play. The system that allows you to rewind time to a specific point during battle and restart is also helpful.
The main focus is the Heroic Games, a turning point for the four warriors, but experiencing the episodes leading up to it gives a good understanding of their backgrounds and makes it easier to empathize with them. There are many things to do during the tournament preparation period, such as quests and dungeon exploration, and managing your time is also exciting. The way the warriors’ stories intertwine is a nice touch. In battles, the transition to combat sequences is quick, and the action is visually impressive yet crisp and enjoyable.
The game’s structure, which allows players to follow different stories depending on the protagonist, and the ability to switch to other characters’ stories midway through, offers a great sense of depth and freedom. The UI is easy to see and guide players well, and the gradual increase in available actions makes it easy to play without getting lost. The strategic depth, such as the dramatic comebacks possible with “Blaze Arts” activated by consuming HP, is also excellent. In addition to 3D dungeon exploration, various elements such as route strategy on the world map are incorporated without becoming cumbersome, making for a comfortable gameplay experience.
