MISSOULA, Mont. —An expanded recall is underway for baby loungers sold on Amazon over suffocation concerns.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the baby loungers violate federal safety standards because the padding can obstruct an infant’s breathing, creating a risk of serious injury or death.
The expanded recall adds green and purple models to one issued earlier this year.
The loungers were sold on Amazon from May through June.
Consumers should stop using them immediately and contact the company for a refund.
Also this morning — a recall is impacting popular movie theater collectibles sold during Fantastic Four and Captain America screenings.
More than 55,000 souvenir drinking cups and popcorn helmets with LED lights are being recalled because their batteries can be easily accessed by children.
If swallowed, the batteries can cause severe internal burns or even death.
So far, no injuries have been reported.
Consumers should stop using the products immediately and contact the company for a refund.
