D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is just days away, and fans from all over the world are preparing for a weekend filled with movie and theme park announcements, panels and shows, and immersive experiences.

Why is it called D23
The “D” stands for Disney and “23” represents 1923, which is the year Walt Disney founded the company.
What is D23?
With more than 1.8 million members around the world, D23 is the official Disney fan club, celebrating the wonder and excitement of Disney’s stories, characters, songs and experiences.

When is the D23 2026 fan event?
D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event takes place Aug. 14-16 at the Anaheim Convention Center and the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
The Anaheim Convention Center (ACC) is home to concerts, presentations, star-studded meet and greets and more. This year boasts the largest show floor in event history, spanning almost 1,000,000 square feet of the ACC.
The Honda Center will play host to three marquee showcases with the Disney Entertainment Showcase, Disney Experiences Showcase, and a special ceremony to celebrate the 2026 class of Disney Legends.
More than 120 stars from all the worlds of Disney will be making appearances at the Anaheim Convention Center and Honda Center, including new and fan-favorite shows and films such as “Scrubs,” “Camp Rock 3,” “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” “Bob’s Burgers,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “The Simpsons,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Zootopia,” and more.

What is D23 Day at Disneyland Resort?
This one-event on Thursday, Aug. 13 marks the countdown to D:23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim.
Attendees will be able to experience special entertainment, dance parties, themed merchandise and more at the Happiest Place on Earth.

When is the Disney Entertainment Showcase?
The entertainment showcase takes place Friday, Aug. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Exclusive sneak peeks, star-studded performances and a bevy of announcements from Walt Disney Studios, Hulu, Disney+ and more are expected for some of the company’s most beloved brands and franchises.
How can I watch Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase?
Disney+ subscribers can stream Horizons: A Carousel of Progress live at 7 p.m. PT on Saturday, Aug. 15.
Host Neil Patrick Harris will be joined by Imagineers behind Disney’s biggest projects at the Honda Center to share an inside look at the stories, progress and creativity shaping the future of Disney Experiences around the world.
Who is being inducted as a 2026 Disney Legend?
Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the Disney Legends Award Ceremony takes place Sunday, Aug. 16 at 1:30 p.m. at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Counting this year’s new honorees, there are 329 Disney Legends. The first Disney Legend inducted was Fred MacMurray in 1987.
This year’s honorees include Chris Berman, Jerry Bruckheimer, Susan Egan, Eric Goldberg, Anne Hathaway, Bob Iger, Kim Irvine, Dwayne Johnson, Jonas Brothers, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alan Tudyk.
