I have tested EPOMAKER keyboards and headsets and genuinely fallen in love with their brand quality, features, and price points. Now I have the chance to complete the trifecta: I was sent the EPOMAKER Carbonis Mouse, listed on their site as an 8k polling, 30k DPI, carbon fibre composite shell, ergonomic mouse. I have been putting it through its paces over the last few weeks, so let’s see how it performed.
Inside the box, you have the mouse, 2.4Ghz wireless dongle, USB-A to USB-C cable, replacement feet, and a manual. The model I was sent to test is the black-and-gold version, a striking and timeless colour combination.
A unique pattern covers the body of the mouse, giving it a wow factor while staying subtle, ghosted over the top plate. A sleek gold EPOMAKER logo sits on the left side, and matching gold accents on the mouse wheel top off the look.
The mouse wheel has a nice rubber grip in the middle, giving you complete control of your movements. Behind the mouse wheel is a small LED screen that shows the battery level, current DPI, connection mode, and polling rates.
The inside of the mouse at the rear has a textured wave pattern, helping your thumb sit comfortably. The mouse feels as good as it looks, with a matte feel from the composite carbon fiber shell. The EPOMAKER Carbonis Mouse is light as a feather at 50 grams and features a right-handed ergonomic design to help reduce fatigue during long sessions.

Dimensions are 12.3 cm x 6.61cm x 4.27cm, with the screen behind the scroll wheel measuring 2.1cm x 0.8 cm. The wireless dongle has a unique shape and is small so that it won’t be intrusive; however, it has no EPOMAKER markings, which could be a challenge if you swap devices regularly. The 300 mAh battery means you won’t need to charge it every day, giving you around 40 hours of use depending on your settings.
The EPOMAKER Carbonis Mouse supports tri-mode connectivity: 2.4 GHz wirelessg rates are 8000Hz but default to 1000Hz for battery-saving use; these rates also apply when hardwiredrelessly
With Bluetooth, you will poll at 125Hz with an 8ms response. Your sensor is the PixArt PAW3950, used in a variety of other brands, delivering high precision from a lightweight sensor and compatible with cloth and glass, pushing out 750 IPS (inches per second).
The DPI has six settings and can be adjusted with the DPI button under the mouse or in the software: 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 6400, and 30,000. Whether you’re gaming or browsing every day, you can quickly change the settings, and the small display on top of the mouse shows your current DPI, taking the guesswork out of your settings.
When I tested the mouse in quick first-person shooters like Escape from Tarkov and Fortnite, I found it very responsive; flicking through quick rotations and micro-adjustments was very accurate.

The mouse supports Linux, PC, Mac, and phones depending on your connection method. The software works well with Google Chrome; connection takes seconds, and you have a full range of customisation.
From debounce times, sleep time, sleep/wake mode, ripple control, motion sync, macros, key adjustments, DPI colour notification, and a lot more, you can save all of these under different profiles, ensuring you can change your settings for different games or even if you are using it for browsing, all at the push of a button.
Overall, the EPOMAKER Carbonis Mouse is a top-class product; its exceptional polling rates, tri-band connection, and ergonomic design made from a composite fiber shell really put it ahead of many other brands. The built-in screen takes the guesswork out of your DPI, connection mode, and charge level, showing you what you’re using-something many other models require you to check elsewhere.
For gaming, you get a .3ms response time, up to 8000Hz polling, and a low weight that keeps you in control, no matter what game you are playing.
Finally, for the price, the technology and features onboard, and the look and ergonomic design, you really can’t go past the EPOMAKER Carbonis Mouse if you are in the market for a gaming mouse. The festive season is getting close; it’s time to treat yourself to a mouse that punches well above its weight.
