Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya are all set to meet the audience again on the digital platform with their latest romantic drama Epic – First Semester. The film is now all set for its OTT premiere on Netflix following its theatrical run.
Officially, the makers have announced that Epic – First Semester will be streamed on October 9, 2026. The film will have a simultaneous release in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam along with Telugu and this will help it reach a wider audience.
That digital debut arrives about four weeks after the film opened in theaters. The film was met with mixed reception in theaters and its Netflix release should give it a chance to find an audience that may have missed it on the big screen.

The biggest attraction around Epic – First Semester is the reunion of Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya. Baby was their first film together and it was a blockbuster. Their onscreen chemistry proved to be a big hit.
In Epic the actors play characters struggling with love, relationships and personal ambitions against an overseas background.
What’s Epic About?
This is the story of Rohan, a young boy from a middle-class family who goes to London for higher studies. He tries to meet the expectations of his family, and finds himself entering an unknown world, with new people and experiences.
Then he meets Kadali and his life takes a different turn. Their relationship gets caught up in the issues of love, friendship, identity and the struggles of young people trying to find their place in the world.
Set in a campus and dealing with relationships in contemporary times, the film attempts to explore the emotional experiences of the youngsters who live away from home and try to adjust in a completely different environment.
Written and directed by Aditya Haasan, who became famous with the web series 90s – A Middle Class Biopic, Epic – First Semester. This is his first feature film as a director. The movie is produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas and music is scored by Hesham Abdul Wahab.
With the film now releasing on Netflix in five languages, the OTT release may take Epic – First Semester to a much wider audience, particularly the young audience who enjoy romantic dramas with international settings. Epic – First Semester Netflix Premiere: October 9, 2026.
