Sept. 1 marks the day Nevadans can start getting the limited-time Dragon Ball Super Power Up Pack, a meal released in celebration of the popular anime franchise “Dragon Ball Super.”
The meal includes 10-piece chicken nuggets with a new teriyaki-style sauce, a mango-peach lemonade with mango boba, fries and one of the six Dragon Ball character collectibles.
But that’s not the only change coming to Burger King menus; the fast food chain’s chicken nuggets are also getting an upgrade on Sept. 1.

Burger King Dragon Ball meal
- 10-piece chicken nuggets with new Super Saiyan Sauce: Crispy chicken nuggets made with white meat served alongside Super Saiyan Sauce – a sweet, savory and tangy teriyaki-style sauce inspired by the “Dragon Ball Super” character.
- Dragon Ball Burst Lemonade: A Mango Peach Lemonade with mango-flavored popping boba.
- Medium Fry
The meal also includes limited-time packaging and a “Dragon Ball Super” crown
Burger King is also offering a “Dragon Ball Super”-themed kids meal that includes a choice of hamburger, cheeseburger or chicken nuggets plus a side, drink, crown and one of six figurines, while supplies last.

With every Dragon Ball Burger King meal, Nevadans will get one of the six figurines:
- Goku
- Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku
- Vegeta
- Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta
- Piccolo
- Beerus
Burger King changes up chicken nuggets
First, Burger King improved its Whopper, now the fast-food chain is upgrading its chicken nuggets.
Beginning Sept. 1, Burger King will be serving chicken nuggets made with “100% white meat chicken, crispier golden breading, (and) an enhanced marinade for a juicier bite,” the company said in a news release. The nuggets will now be served in a box, rather than a bag “to deliver a better experience.”
Back in February, Burger King debuted an updated Whopper sandwich – informed by suggestions from customers who called or texted the fast-food chain’s president Tom Curtis. That resulted in an upgraded bun with “better tasting mayo” and in a box.
Similarly, customer suggestions led to the new nuggets. Customers called the previous chicken nuggets rubbery, dry and disappointing.
Burger King took into account “thousands of texts, calls and comments,” said Amy Alarcon, head chef for Burger King U.S. & Canada.
“Our culinary team evaluated every element of the experience, from the chicken and breading to the sauces that bring it all together,” Alarcon said in a statement. “Throughout the process, we invited real guests – including some of our toughest critics, kids – to test and refine the recipe, helping us create a nugget we believe delivers the quality, taste and experience that they have been asking for.”
