Diplo has been keeping his little girl close to him.
Indeed, the DJ—dad to sons Lockett, 15, and Lazer, 11, with ex Kathryn Lockhart as well as Pace, 6, with Jevon King—shared he privately welcomed a little girl, celebrating her first birthday during a recent family vacation to Peru.
“My daughter celebrated her first birthday with llamas wearing sunglasses…” Diplo wrote in an Aug. 15 Instagram post featuring sweet photos with his kids, noting that before their trip, “Lazer couldn’t find peru on a map.”
But since then, the tween has transformed. As Diplo put it, “Watching your kid become someone new in real time is the whole thing.”
In one snap, Diplo (born Thomas Wesley Pentz Jr.) posed beside one of his sons as he held his daughter—who had a red heart emoji placed over her face—in his arms.
While the trip may have been difficult to get off the ground considering it “didn’t fit anywhere” in his schedule, the “Close To Me” musician emphasized that it was worth rearranging his stacked plate for.

“I always have a lot on,” he continued. “But id rather lose sleep with my family then at a club or a rave this summer.. happiness is all just moments we collect and some of them sit at 15,000 feet, listening to a band play Los mirlos on a train to Cusco.”
“But now its time to get back to work,” he added, “this trip was worth reaching even [though] it’s hard to reach.”
E! News has reached out to a representative for Diplo but has not yet heard back.
Though the songwriter didn’t share any further details about his little girl, he recently proved he’s coolest dad around after he played one of the “most important sets” of his career at his youngest son’s kindergarten graduation.
In an adorable video shared to TikTok on May 22, the 47-year-old danced behind his laptop and speakers before the camera panned to show the kiddos jamming out.
As they danced to Adrien Nunez‘s “Two Steppin,’” Diplo asked, “Are you ready to get crazy?”
And while being a dad is undoubtedly the best gig around, Diplo has been candid about the challenges that come with fatherhood.
“For me the hardest job i’ve ever had is being a dad, it ends up defining you in a way that nothing else can,” he wrote on Instagram in 2022. “The responsibility is heavy but the reward will be your legacy. You can be rich as hell but unless your creating some kind and good humans and sharing love and wisdom .. What else do you live for, it takes a lot of time and patience and i’m learning every day.”
But even with its hard days, he wouldn’t trade his dad duties for the world.
“I’ve forgot what else there is because nothing in my life compares to this,” he continued, “to my boys , I’ll always be there to wipe your hair out of your face and get your flip flops out of the sewer and buy you ice cream.”
