That’s the case with The Irregular at Magic High School. The anime franchise has had a lot of success with its multiple TV seasons, spinoff, and even a previous feature film release. It made its return to theaters earlier this year in Japan with a brand new film for the Yotsuba Succession Arc, and now it’s been confirmed that Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment are going to be bringing this new movie to the United States and Canada for a limited time this November.

The Irregular at Magic High School THE MOVIE -Yotsuba Succession Arc- is going to be making its debut in theaters in the United States and Canada for a very limited time with screenings on November 1st, 3rd and 4th. It’s going to be screening with both a Japanese language and English dubbed audio available. This new movie picks up right after the events of the TV anime’s third season, so you’re going to want to catch up with everything that’s happened in the anime so far now streaming with Crunchyroll in the meantime.
The Irregular at Magic High School THE MOVIE -Yotsuba Succession Arc- is directed by Jimmy Stone, and adapts the titular Yotsuba Succession Arc that takes place in Volume 16 of Tsutomu Sato’s original light novels. It’s brought to life by the same studio behind the rest of the anime franchise, Eight Bit, so it’s all going to look just as good as it did in the original TV anime. It’s also the first in a whole new wave of anime releases planned for the franchise’s near future.

The Irregular at Magic High School THE MOVIE -Yotsuba Succession Arc- is funny enough, the capstone to just the first part of the long running anime franchise thus far. There’s even more on the way in the futureas “Part 2” is now confirmed to be in the works. More details for the anime’s future is set to be revealed at a later date, but this second phase of the anime is likely going to continue to work through the multiple volumes of the light novels still yet to make it to screens.
The Irregular at Magic High School is certainly one of the more interesting success stories of the 2010s as while it took quite a few years before the second season actually made its debut, the franchise quickly released all sorts of projects that expanded it in many other ways like spinoffs, movies and more.
