SAN DIEGO, CA (The Hollywood Times) 7/26/26 – With only one more day of Comic-Con remaining, Day 2 delivered the kind of star power, exclusive footage and major announcements that make the convention one of the year’s most anticipated entertainment events.
Marvel Studios dominated the excitement inside the San Diego Convention Center as directors Joe and Anthony Russo took the Hall H stage to preview Avengers: Doomsday.
The Russo brothers thrilled the crowd by introducing more than a dozen cast members, led by Robert Downey Jr., who returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the formidable Victor von Doom. Stars representing the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and the original X-Men films joined the presentation, bringing several generations of Marvel characters together.
Fans fortunate enough to secure a coveted Hall H ticket were also treated to exclusive footage from the upcoming film.
The Russo brothers described Avengers: Doomsday as their most ambitious Marvel project yet. The massive crossover will unite the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and characters from 25 years of X-Men movies on the big screen for the first time.
Marvel Studios also announced that Ryan Gosling will star as Ghost Rider in a new standalone film directed by Shawn Levy. The movie is currently planned for theatrical release in 2028.
With Comic-Con heading into its final day, the Marvel presentation gave fans plenty to discuss and offered an exciting glimpse at the next chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
