Collectibles return to Waterloo in Hobby Con show

Now having made a few appearances in the region, Hobby Con is returning to Waterloo for another trading card show.

Gathering at the University of Waterloo on Sept. 6, collectors and vendors from across Ontario will join for one of Waterloo’s largest trading card and collectible events.

With a heavy focus on trading card games and some other cards and collectibles, Hobby Con often draws in a large crowd. Welcoming to all collectors, whether you are just starting out with collecting, or are an experienced player, organizers are encouraging anyone with an interest in trading cards to stop by.

As the interest in trading cards has continued to grow, so has Hobby Con. Making regular stops in the Waterloo Region and across Ontario, with some shows as far as Winnipeg and Montreal.

65 different vendor tables will be set up in the University of Waterloo’s Federation Hall.

Organizers say the event is a great place to see some different trading card games, while meeting other people in the community who have similar interests.

Hobby Con is free to enter, though organizers do recommend that those interested in attending bring cash if you plan on buying anything from vendors. Doors to the Sept. 6, event will be open from 12 p.m., to 6 p.m.
