Square Enix released the volume in Japan on September 26, during the September 21-27 tracking period. The new volume follows Ciel and Sebastian as they investigate a resort hotel, where a mysterious figure named Modori appears to have a past connection with Sebastian. Its debut total gives Black Butler a 13,130-copy lead over The JOJOLands Vol. 9.

Last week’s Top 3 all decline in sales

The JOJOLands Vol. 9 moves from No. 1 to No. 2 with 33,144 copies, down 39.3% from 54,642. Hoshi in the Girls’ Garden Vol. 5 slips one place to No. 3 with 25,979 copies, down 33.6%. In the Clear Moonlit Dusk Vol. 11 also falls one position to No. 4, with weekly sales down 48.0% to 18,838. Across the seven ISBN-matched volumes that remain in the Top 10, none records a week-over-week sales increase.

A smaller Top 10 reshapes the lower ranks

The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity Vol. 24 and Solo Leveling: Side Stories Vol. 1 each fall three positions. Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Vol. 25 and Dandadan Vol. 25 appear in this week’s Top 10 after being absent from the previous week’s Top 10, while their appearance counts show they are not first-time chart entries.
