The ongoing phase ‘Total Dominion’ in Bigg Boss Telugu 10 ended with a bang, as Varshini used her special power to change the result of the captaincy task. Aman won the ‘Path to Power’ challenge, but Varshini used her long-held advantage and snatched away his captaincy victory.
In the episode, the housemates were also seen using their daggers strategically, with the immunity race becoming another big battleground.
Bhairava team captaincy selection turns strategic
The episode kicked off with the contestants arguing about daggers and how to get the most out of their advantages in the next stages of Total Dominion.
Team Bhairava had to give names of five contestants for the race to captaincy. After discussions and internal elections, Varshini, Jhansi, Ram Prasad, Apoorva and Sudheer became the first contenders.
But Sudheer was said to have given up his place owing to pain in the ankle and he exchanged with Aman. And the decision was also to pass the daggers, which made the captaincy decision a strategic one.
Aman’s decision became a subject of discussion among the housemates, with Rohit warning him that he could be getting influenced by others.
Aman wins the ‘Path to Power’ challenge
The leadership challenge, called ‘Path to Power’, took the contestants through a series of stages requiring physical exertion, coordination and puzzle-solving abilities.
Aman finally defeated his opponents and won the last challenge. Aman was then in line to be the new captain.
But for Aman, the victory was short-lived.
Varshini uses her Grab Any Win power
Varshini had been sitting on a special advantage ever since she had come into the house. Her power, Grab Any Win, allowed her to steal another contestant’s win.
With Aman winning the captaincy challenge, Varshini decided it was finally time for her to use the power.
Varshini got Bigg Boss’ permission and used the advantage to take Aman’s captaincy win for herself. She was appointed the new house captain later.
Varshini said to Aman, “Sorry I took your win. I had to take it because it was important to me. The decision came as a surprise to several housemates, especially those expecting Aman to take charge.
Daggers at key in immunity battle
The focus then shifted from captaincy to immunity.
Bigg Boss announced that all contestants with a dagger and above will be eligible to participate in the immunity challenge. Those who had more than one dagger were given extra powers that could determine who got immunity in the end.
This meant that the contestants had to consider their dagger holdings and decide whether to keep their own advantage or use it to benefit or stop another housemate.
Srishti took advantage of the situation to swap Vamsi’s photo with hers and put herself in the running for immunity.
However, Sudheer later used his own powers to reverse the move and return Vamsi to his position. And that’s how Srishti lost the immunity race.
Other racers took similar strategic options. Jhansi took the opportunity to remove Thrigun from the immunity race. Vamsi took the opportunity to remove Charan from the race.
The moves were indicative of the more strategic nature of the ongoing Total Dominion phase, wherein the contestants had to decide whether to protect themselves or influence their rivals’ positions.
After all the swaps and strategy decisions, Vamsi and Sudheer got immunity, which is a huge advantage going into the next week.
Varshini meanwhile ended the episode with the biggest individual gain, having converted Aman’s captaincy win into her own through the special power.
But Aman’s win changes the game anyway
Aman might have completed the Path to Power task first, but Varshini’s capacity to steal another contestant’s win altered the final outcome.
Again, the episode showed how Bigg Boss Telugu 10 is mixing physical tasks with strategic benefits where possession and timing of special powers are on par with winning a challenge.
