Bigg Boss 20: Rhiti Tiwari’s mother denies Ekam Bawa’s stepfather, husband claims, says ‘legal action initiated’

Bigg Boss 20contestant Rhiti Tiwari’s family has responded to allegations made by a man identifying himself as her stepfather, Ekam Bawa. In a public notice issued on September 28, Rhiti and her mother, Pratima Pandey, denied his claims, calling them ‘false, baseless’ and defamatory.

According to the notice, Bawa, who is also referred to as Parminder Kumar Bawa and Ekam Bains, has allegedly been publicly claiming that he is Rhiti’s ‘stepfather’ and Pratima’s legally wedded husband. The family has categorically rejected these claims, stating that Bawa “holds no such legal status or relationship.”
The notice further alleges that Bawa has made statements and shared videos and social media posts concerning Rhiti, her mother and their family. The family has described these claims as false and defamatory, alleging that they were made with the intention of harming their reputation.
The legal notice also states that ‘serious legal action, civil and criminal,’ has been initiated against Bawa. It further calls upon media organisations, publishers, digital platforms and channels to remove content carrying or repeating the alleged claims. The notice asks them to independently verify any statements concerning the family and seek documentary proof before publishing or broadcasting them.
The development comes after Rhiti’s team responded to allegations attributed to Bawa regarding the family. Since Rhiti is currently inside theBigg Boss 20 house, her team said she is unable to personally respond to the claims.
Rhiti Tiwari’s team recently shared a statement
In a statement shared on Rhiti’sofficial Instagram Stories, her team said, ‘We are disappointed to see false claims made by Ekam Bawa against Rhiti Tiwari and her family being carried across various media platforms. Rhiti is currently inside the Bigg Boss 20 house and can’t respond to these allegations herself (sic).’
The statement further urged media outlets to verify the facts before amplifying the allegations and give the family an opportunity to respond. ‘Necessary legal action has been initiated against Ekam Bawa in relation to these allegations,’ the statement concluded.
The notice also warned that republication of what the family describes as false and defamatory material could invite legal action against publishers. It requested media houses to approach the issuing office for documentary verification of claims concerning Rhiti and her family.
Rhiti, who is the daughter of BJP MP and actor Manoj Tiwari, is currently participating in Bigg Boss 20. The latest development has emerged while she remains inside the reality-show house and is unable to address the controversy herself.
