Aamir Khan’s younger brother Faissal Khan is set to enter the Bigg Boss 20 house as a celebrity contestant, according to a report by Variety India. The actor is expected to join the reality show on September 6, with Salman Khan returning as the host for its landmark 20th season.
Faissal Khan to enter Bigg Boss 20
Faissal, who has largely stayed away from the spotlight in recent years, has had a long and eventful association with the Hindi film industry. He made his acting debut in the 1994 romantic drama Madhosh, which was produced by his father Tahir Hussain and directed by Vikram Bhatt. He later appeared alongside his brother Aamir Khan in the 2000 film Mela, which also starred Twinkle Khanna.
Earlier in 2022, Faissal was offered Bigg Boss, however, he had denied the offer. While talking to ETimes, the actor had shared that he didn’t want to get caged. He had shared, “In Bigg Boss, everyone is pitted against each other, they fight, argue and then you’re also given tasks. They play with you mentally. I didn’t want to get trapped in that zone. They give you some money but by Allah’s grace I don’t need much money. So, I thought why should I get caged? Who likes being caged? Everyone likes a free life.”
Faissal Khan’s family feud
His entry into Bigg Boss 20 is expected to attract considerable attention, particularly because of his complicated family history and his equation with Aamir. Faissal has previously made public comments about his family, especially his relationship with his elder brother, while the Khan family has largely maintained silence on the matter.
Time and again, Faissal had made statements against his family. However, recently, Faissal had issued a public apology to brother Aamir Khan in Ujjwal Trivedi’s podcast, “I first want to apologize to my Ammi that I made the mistake of saying everything in public. I want to apologize to Ammi and Nikhat because a man tends to say it all, whatever he’s been feeling and suppressing for all this while. I’d gone overboard with Nikhat and her husband Santosh Hegde, which I shouldn’t have said at all. It was very wrong. I’ve realised my mistake now, hence asking for forgiveness. I also said bad things about Aamir. I just want to continue with our decision to be on good terms going forward. I wish our relationship becomes even stronger.”
Talking about his work front, His filmography includes projects such as Kaaboo, Border Hindustan Ka and Chand Bujh Gaya. In 2021, Faissal made his directorial debut with the psychological thriller Faactory, in which he also played the lead role. With his film career, family equations and personal experiences likely to become talking points, Faissal could emerge as one of the most closely followed contestants of Bigg Boss 20.
