Best Things Ever Vote: Video Gaming or Tasty Crunch?
Welcome to another poll in the Blazer’s Edge Best Things Ever Tournament of 2026! For those needing an update, each day we post two polls asking you to choose between two nice things. These will be assembled into a March Madness style bracket, leading to elimination rounds in which one candidate will remain as the Best Thing Ever for 2026. It’s our way of filling the dead space of NBA late-summer while keeping our regular coverage intact!
This matchup features one of the biggest and best video gaming companies ever, Nintendo against the staple snack, Toast.
Nintendo revolutionized home gaming with the NES system long ago. They’ve been going strong all the way through the modern Switch consoles, along the way giving the world staple franchises like Mario, Zelda, and Animal Crossing.
Whether you put butter, jelly, or modern-day avocado on it, toast is a go-to munchie any time of day. 8:00 AM, afternoon snack, or midnight guilty pleasure, you can’t go wrong with the smell (unless you’re having a stroke…be aware, folks), crunch, and perfectly-platformed taste.
