Following her 2025 arrest for DWI, Rycroft’s attorney Bret Martin told EW: “I want to remind the public of the fundamental principle of our justice system… every individual is presumed innocent until proven guilty. We, as a society, have gotten completely away from this fundamental concept. My client was arrested on the allegation of driving while intoxicated. An arrest is no indication of guilt.”
Weeks later, Rycroft noted in a reply to a comment on one of her Instagram posts that, “Life really sucks right now and I’m struggling, but I’m trying to march forward.”
Rycroft pleaded guilty to the driving while intoxicated charge in August, agreeing to a 20-month probation sentence and avoiding 280 days in jail. She was also ordered to pay a $2,000 fine and additional court fees, including a “trauma fine,” bringing her total to $2,087.
