The couple, who made their relationship red carpet official earlier this year, reportedly welcomed their daughter in late July. Plaza was recently spotted holding her newborn in New York City after attending Abbott’s final Broadway performance in Death of a Salesman.

Aubrey Plaza is officially a mom, welcoming her first child with partner Christopher Abbott. The actress was spotted holding her newborn in New York City on Sunday.
According to TMZ,girl in the last week of July, making the couple a family of three. TMZ also published photos of the actress carrying her baby after she attended Abbott’s final performance in Death of a Salesman on Sunday
About Aubrey and Christopher Abbott
Aubrey had been married to filmmaker Jeff Baena since 2021, over a decade after they started dating. They kept both the engagement and marriage a secret. Aubrey and Jeff had separated for a number of months before he tragically took his life at their Los Angeles home on January 3, 2025.
Aubrey Plaza and Christopher Abbott’s onscreen relationship dates back to 2019, when the pair starred in Black Bear. The actors went on to share the stage in the 2023 Off-Broadway production of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea.
A rep for Aubrey confirmed on April 7, 2026, to People that the actress was expecting her first baby with Christopher. Soon after, she shared insight into her pregnancy journey. “Well, there’s a baby inside of me,” she said on a SmartLess podcast episode released on April 20, 2026. “Today was a big day. I went to the doctor’s today.” And when it came to her thoughts on motherhood, she added, “I’ve always wanted to see what that’s all about. It just seems so interesting, that whole thing.”
Christopher has spent years working across stage and screen and most recently starred as Biff Loman in the 2026 Broadway revival of Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman. The White Lotus actress and Abbott made their relationship red carpet official at the 2026 Tony Awards on June 7.
