ASUS Goes Big on GPU Deals, Dropping Prime Radeon RX 9070 EVO 16GB Gaming Graphics Card Near Its Record Low

The ASUS Prime Radeon RX 9070 EVO 16GB GDDR6 OC Edition Gaming Graphics Card uses AMD’s new RDNA 4 architecture, with 56 compute units and 3,584 stream processors. In an OC setting using GPU Tweak III software, the boost clock can reach 2,610 MHz. This card also features 16GB of GDDR6 memory located on a 256-bit interface that produces 640 GB/s of bandwidth. The cooling system consists of three axial-tech fans within the 2.5-slot design, and with three DisplayPort 2.1a ports and one HDMI 2.1b port for connectivity, the card is connected via PCIe 5.0

Head over to Amazon to get the ASUS Prime Radeon RX 9070 EVO 16GB GDDR6 OC Edition Gaming Graphics Card for just $630, down from its usual price of $754. That’s a $124 discount and 16% off.

A powerful graphics card to handle all the biggest games on the way

RDNA 4 offers ray tracing upgrades over its predecessor, and the architecture provides improved AI acceleration for upscaling. Those 56 compute units can deliver 1440p at high frame rates while pushing toward 4K, depending on the game and your preferences. AMD’s HYPR-RX toggle lets you enable each supported performance and latency feature across thousands of titles without configuring each one individually. A card with 16GB of onboard memory will remain usable for many years after a card with less will no longer be sufficient for what today’s titles require. The 256-bit interface runs at 20 Gb/s, which should allow data to flow quickly enough to keep the GPU occupied.

The fan array uses three axial-tech fans with dual-ball bearings, tested to outlast the bearing style found in less expensive products by two times. All three fans stop completely below 55°C, resulting in silent operation while lightly gaming or browsing. They begin spinning again above 60°C on a smooth curve designed to balance both noise levels and operating temperatures. ASUS also elongated the fan blades on the newly redesigned hub, allowing more room for air to pass down onto the heatsink, and added a barrier ring to create more downward pressure.

A phase-change thermal pad sits between the GPU and the heatsink; it melts during operation to fill gaps and transfer heat more efficiently than traditional paste throughout the product’s life. Vents were also added to the card’s backplate, allowing additional airflow. ASUS has implemented an adhesive called GPU Guard on all four corners of the die and included a bracket to evenly distribute mounting pressure across the entire surface area.

The 2.5-slot design will fit most cases on the market, where other cards in this class take up space in a three- or four-slot configuration. This may matter for those upgrading existing builds rather than buying a new case and starting over. At $630 instead of $754, the ASUS Prime Radeon RX 9070 EVO 16GB GDDR6 OC Edition Gaming Graphics Card includes a dual-BIOS switch that enables you to easily toggle between a quieter mode and a performance mode, and ASUS offers a three-year warranty covering the entire graphics card.
