TheScary Movieactress got candid about how she approaches the topic of religion with her and ex-husbandChris Pratt’s sonJack, especially because the 14-year-old is moredevoutthan she is.
“I didn’t grow up with religion,” Faris explained to hostChelsea Handleron theDear Chelseapodcast Aug. 20. “He’s asked me to accept Jesus Christ, and I told him I would do anything for him, including this, but it’s gonna take a whole lot of long conversations.”

“He just doesn’t get easily jarred,” she said, “he handles situations really well.”
Those situations include the talks he has withFaris, during which she often questions his views on life.
“He’s impressive, actually. He’s impressive ‘cause I try to challenge him,” Faris explained. “I’m like, ‘Do you think it’s a luxury that you get to be pro-life? Do you think that’s kind of a luxury?’ And he’s like, ‘Maybe.’ Or I’ll say, ‘So what do you think of this mega pastor that’s kind of a grifter? What do you think?’ And he’s like, ‘Oh, mega pastors are the worst.’ So it’s like, ‘OK, he’s getting there.’”
