The Summer Siege update brought one of the most content-dense limited events Roblox tower defense fans have seen in a while. Tidal Siege packs two distinct stage types, a fishing mechanic that hands out traits and units mid-wave, a dedicated event shop, and nine exclusive units spread across wildly different acquisition routes. Knowing which mode to run, when to spend your Sand Dollars, and how each unit drops is the difference between walking away with Sharkfang and Sovereign or burning your Gems on the wrong portals.

What is the Tidal Siege event in Anime Expeditions?

Tidal Siege is a limited-time event mode accessed from the Events tab on the HUD. Once inside the Events menu, you can reach the mode-specific Quests, both stage types, and the exclusive Tidal Siege Shop. The primary currency here is Sand Dollars, earned through gameplay and redeemable for everything from consumables to high-end equipment.

The mode splits into two stage types that serve very different purposes, so it helps to understand both before committing to a farming loop.

    Event Mode

Event Mode is the core farming loop. Waves of enemies attack from both sides of the map, so placing towers at each end before going idle is non-negotiable. Once your units are placed and fully upgraded, head to the central pond and start fishing.

Fishing is the standout mechanic here. Higher-tier rods pull better rewards, and catches can include traits, equipment, and units. The Advanced Rod costs 750 Sand Dollars in the shop and improves your pull quality once you can afford it. Because Event Mode is infinite, every run ends when the enemy waves eventually overwhelm your defenses. Rewards for each run include Sand Dollars, Djinn’s Treasure, and Player XP, with a chance at Sharkfang (Abyssal) on clean clears.

    Portal Mode

Portal Mode works differently. Each Summer Portal costs 1,000 Gems to purchase, and clearing one can reward additional Summer Portals, Gems, Gold, Player XP, and Unit XP. The most important drop here is Sovereign (Djinn), but there is a catch: the 2% drop chance is marked Non-Host Only. Hosting your own portal does not qualify. You need to join another player’s portal as a non-host and clear it to roll for Sovereign.

Higher-tier portals, including the Sovereign’s Portal, can also be crafted as you progress through Portal Mode.

All Summer Siege units & how to get them

Nine units make up the Summer Siege collection, and they come from four completely separateo waste Sand Dollars and Gems

How do you get Sharkfang (Abyssal)?

Run Tidal Siege Event Mode repeatedly. Sharkfang drops from the event itself, so every completed run is another roll. There is no shortcut here: place strong units, upgrade them fully, fish while the waves run, and repeat until Sharkfang appears.

How do you get Sovereign (Djinn)?

Progress through Portal Mode to obtain or craft a Sovereign’s Portal, then join another player’s run as a non-host. Clear the portal and you have a 2% chance at Sovereign. The portal can also be crafted from materials earned in Portal Mode, so you do not always need to buy access directly.

    How do Summer Capsules work?

Each Summer Capsule costs 100 Sand Dollars in the Tidal Siege Shop. All four capsule units, Head Captain (Char), Sand (Alligator), Water Mage (Scholar), and Rainman (Forecast), draw from a single shared RNG pool. There is no separate capsule that targets a specific unit. The pool also includes limited summer skins, so not every pull produces a unit.

The rates vary significantly: Head Captain sits at 5% while Rainman drops to 0.25%, so budget your Sand Dollars accordingly and stop buying capsules once you have all four units from this pool.

    tip
The four Summer Capsule units share one pool with summer skins. Track which units you still need and stop pulling once that specific pool is complete to avoid wasting Sand Dollars.

    Kitsune and Jester

Kitsune requires completing the Kitsune Bingo board one time. Check the board at the start of each session and run game modes that satisfy the active stamp conditions. Tidal Siege enemy defeats often count toward Bingo stamps, so you can stack progress across multiple goals in a single run.

Jester is the Season 2 Battle Pass Level 50 reward. Defeat enemies and complete quests that award Battle Pass EXP. Tidal Siege runs can contribute here too, making it efficient to run Event Mode while progressing the Battle Pass simultaneously.

    What about Lightning God (Overcharged)?

Lightning God (Overcharged) appears in the nine-unit Summer Siege list, but its exact acquisition route is not displayed alongside the others. Select the unit in-game and inspect its Obtainment panel, then cross-reference the current event shops. Do not assume it comes from capsules or portals unless the in-game client explicitly says so.

What can you buy in the Tidal Siege Shop?

The event shop holds a wide selection of items, from cheap consumables to expensive equipment pieces. Sand Dollars are finite per session, so knowing the full price list before spending matters.

    Loading table…

The Advanced Rod at 750 Sand Dollars is worth prioritizing early since better fishing pulls translate directly into stronger traits and faster progression. The 10,000 Sand Dollar equipment pieces are long-term targets that require sustained farming across multiple sessions.

For deeper context on how equipment stats and rerolls work outside of this event, the Anime Expeditions equipment guide covering all gear and best builds breaks down every piece and where to farm it.

How to farm Sand Dollars efficiently

The Event Mode infinite wave loop is the primary Sand Dollars multiple runs:

    • Place your strongest units at both ends of the map before doing anything else
    • Fully upgrade every tower before heading to the fishing pond
    • Fish continuously while waves run; higher-tier rods pull better rewards
    • Complete the event Quests passively, since their criteria tie into normal Tidal Siege gameplay
    • Run Kitsune Bingo and Season 2 Battle Pass quests simultaneously when their conditions accept Tidal Siege enemy defeats

Quests in the Events menu award bonus Sand Dollars and other rewards on top of standard run drops, so checking them at the start of each session adds meaningful passive income without changing your farming loop.

    tip
Start each session by checking your Kitsune Bingo board and active Battle Pass quests. When their conditions overlap with Tidal Siege enemy defeats, a single run generates Sand Dollars, Battle Pass EXP, Bingo stamps, and Summer Capsule progress at the same time.

    What about the Summer Bundles?

The shop lists four Robux bundles: Summer Bundle #1 (999 Robux), Summer Bundle #2 (3,999 Robux), Summer Bundle #3 (7,999 Robux), and the Crab Rider Bundle (9,999 Robux). Their full unit inventories are not publicly detailed, so inspect each in-game tooltip before buying. Only expect a specific Summer Siege unit from a bundle if the bundle explicitly names that unit.

The older Villain Invasion and Warriors Saga event content belongs to earlier update cycles. Their quests, banners, and progression tracks are separate from the Summer Siege loop and will not contribute to Summer Siege unit collection.

For everything else happening in the game right now, the full collection of Roblox guides on GAMES.GG covers active events, codes, and build strategies across the biggest Roblox titles.
