This year, he will be taking his international band Yasuharu Takanashi’s Far East Groove on a tour of Europe titled The Battle for Glory. The event’s website bills the live show as “orchestral drama meets driving rock and the energy of a real live band”, with the original composer performing beloved anime music live on stage.
Far East Groove originally came together in 2024 with a goal of uniting the worlds of anime soundtracks and heavy metal music. The London concert will take place at Dingwalls in Camden on 2nd October 2026 (Friday) and will feature music from Takanashi’s heavy metal-influenced anime soundtrack career, including music written for NARUTO Shippuden and FAIRY TAIL.
