ZEE5 has announced a landmark partnership with Collective Studios’ HistoryVerse to launch an ambitious six-title mythology storytelling universe powered by artificial intelligence. The collaboration aims to bring India’s mythology, folklore, history and literary traditions to contemporary audiences through immersive and visually rich formats.
The slate includes Garud – Ek Yodha Ki Gatha, Narmada Manasa Sundari – Shiv Parvati Ki Putriyan, Vikram Betal Aur Nar Pishachani, Shiv Sati Ki Ek Anant Prem Kahani, Param Sundari Chandrakanta Ki Amar Prem Katha and Bhakto Ke Bhagwan Tirupati Balaji.
Each title will premiere in seven languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada and Bangla. With this multilingual release strategy, ZEE5 and HistoryVerse hope to take culturally rooted Indian narratives to audiences across the country and beyond.
The initiative uses AI as a creative tool to expand visual storytelling possibilities while preserving the emotional and cultural essence of the original stories. ZEE5 said the partnership reflects its larger vision of building future-ready entertainment ecosystems that combine technology, authenticity and new-age creativity.
Tejkarran Singh Bajaj, Business Head, ZEE5 India, said, “The future of entertainment will be defined not just by the stories we tell, but by the technology that powers them.” He added that AI and emerging technologies can unlock new creative possibilities, accelerate innovation and enable immersive experiences at scale.
Vijay Subramaniam, Founder and Group CEO of Collective Artists Network, described India’s mythology, history and folklore as some of the richest storytelling traditions in the world.
“At HistoryVerse, our ambition is to honour these stories while reimagining how they can be experienced by contemporary audiences,” he said.
Calling the ZEE5 partnership a major milestone, Subramaniam added, “Together, we’re bringing culturally rooted narratives to life in fresh, immersive formats that remain true to their essence while opening them up to new audiences in India and beyond.”
The six-title collaboration marks the beginning of a larger storytelling universe designed to transform timeless Indian stories into globally accessible entertainment properties. With AI supporting the creative process, ZEE5 and HistoryVerse are positioning the slate as a major step in the evolution of Indian digital storytelling.
The announcement also highlights growing industry interest in using artificial intelligence responsibly to create scalable content without losing the identity of traditional Indian narratives.
