Act 2 Collectibles – Gears of War: E-Day Guide

Act 2 is where Gears of War: E-Day really opens up, both literally and figuratively. The encounters are bigger, you’ll get more weapons (including the return of the chainsaw bayonet) and a gigantic open-world area to explore, complete with Side Objectives. There are a ton of collectibles spread all over this open-world area, and we’re going to show you where to find every last one!

    • Bravo Squad Collectibles
    • Hold the Line Collectibles
    • Hold the Line Pt. 2 Collectibles

Due to the absolutely mammoth size of this Act, this guide is a work in progress.

    Bravo Squad Collectibles

    COG Helmet With Bullet Hole

At the very beginning of Act 2, before you head out, walk to the end of the street and turn left to go behind the ruined bus. You’ll find the remains of an unfortunate soldier here, so grab his helmet and continue on your way.

    Sniper Goggles

Once you’ve blasted your way through the bridge and survived the lethal glances of nearby snipers, you’ll head into the bridge’s first Control Room. As you go in, go to the left and head down to the far end of the room. Grab the Sniper Goggles from the dead Locust before you move on.

    Bridge Worker’s Lunch Kit

On the gantry underneath the bridge, just before you get to the control room. Descend the ladder to access the gantry as normal, then turn left rather than running straight on. You’ll find this collectible in front of a pair of “police line” barriers.

    Thrashball RUSH Magazine

Hey, what do ya know? This magazine’s cover story is about the Cole Train! You can find this magazine in the East Control Room. It’s at the opposite end of the room that you enter from, atop a small metal caddy with milk and coffee alongside.

    Medic’s First Aid Kit

Once you’ve dealt with the bridge’s final nasty Boomer-shaped surprise, you’ll be tasked with finding a way through the debris that litters the bridge. After getting on to the lower level, you’ll need to head left and look behind the Station Wagon, and in front of the COG truck. You can find the level’s final collectible, a Medic’s First Aid Kit, lying abandoned on the ground.

    Hold the Line Collectibles

    Cinema Filmatica Magazine

You’ll get your marching orders at the beginning of this mission and leave the camp. Pretty much as soon as you do, you’ll see the Iron Coast Motors car dealership, where you’ll be tasked with a side objective. Before doing that, enter through the main entrance and head left into the back room, then turn immediately right. You’ll see this magazine sat on the countertop, with its cover story being about a movie called “They Came From B-Low”. How prophetic they were.

    A Letter Home

You can find this one during the Trapped Family Side Objective, which you’ll find by passing nearby the Last Dollar store. You’ll need to see off a bunch of enemies, then open up the garage door to get inside. Walk through the garage and turn right at the corridor to find this framed letter.

    Thrashies Cereal Box

After helping out the Gears stuck in the Timgad Prime store, head inside and look left. You’ll see this cereal box (with the Cole Train resplendent once again) sitting on the counter.

Hold the Line Pt. 2 Collectibles

    Kalona Postcard

As you leave the station, immediately turn right and descend a small flight of steps. Go past the pawnbroker and you’ll get to a rapidly barricaded plaza. Continue deeper into the plaza until you see a stone bench. The collectible is on the far side, just below the stone bench.

    Foreman’s Datapad

The Foreman met a pretty unfortunate end, but his datapad is still here to be nabbed! To get it, go in the construction site to the south-west of where you exited the station. Climb inside and walk to the back-left side of the main room, assuming you entered from the east. Turn right and go into the little alcove area to find the foreman’s body and his datapad.

    Vandalized Salvaging Poster

Opposite the construction site, you can see a restaurant called Major Burger. Head inside and go into the restroom, where you’ll find this poster hanging on the wall.

    Emgazi Blitz Display Case

In the north-east of the map, you’ll find an apartment building where a Locust is firing out of a window at anything that moves. Head inside and climb up to the third floor. Take cover next to the only open apartment door, and dispense some rough justice to the Drone inside. Once he’s taken out, head into the bedroom and grab the Emgazi Blitz Display Case that’s sitting on the desk.

COG Tags of Private Liz Waxman

While you’re in the apartment building, descend back to the second floor and jump through the window onto the scaffolding. Look left and you’ll find Private Waxman’s body. Grab her tags before leaving!

    Birthday Card With Toy Lancer

In front of the Bank of Tyrus near a collapsed bridge, you can jump down onto the walkway. On the eastern side of the walkway, you’ll spot this collectible on the ground in front of a bench.

    Timgad Refinery Recruitment Poster

On the far side of the east bridge, you’ll notice a large hotel sign adjoining a building on the right-hand side of the street. Take care of the Locusts nearby (I recommend a Longshot), then walk inside. The poster is on the right-hand wall in front of the elevator.

Tales From the Tyran Night Story Book

In the middle of the map, you can see a row of shaded buildings. In the far eastern set, you’ll notice an apartment with a big “help” sign hanging from a window. This is part of a Side Objective called Apartment SOS. Go inside the apartment by climbing your way to the top the window, this collectible will be on a table in the main room on your left

COG Tags of Specialist Jada Clemmons

On a street just to the south of the Apartment SOS side objective, you can find a coffee shop called Grind Coffee. Head inside and look behind the counter to find this unfortunate Specialist and her tags.

    Kalona Metro Fare Notice

Just south of the Grind Coffee where you found the Cog Tags of Specialist Jada Clemmons, you can find a metro station. Head down into it and grab this notice off the wall opposite the turnstiles.

COG Tags of Master Sergeant Mark Avamor

You can find this unfortunate soldier’s remains in a loading bay just south of the Bank of Tyrus. Watch out, as there’s a Locust Sniper sitting on top of the loading bay.

    Re: Vibration Complaints

On the eastern area of the map, marked Warehouse District, you can find a building that has a large “live music” sign on its exterior, just opposite Amberstone Storage Company. Head inside and you’ll find this note hanging on a door.
