The Witcher 3 Remastered details Nintendo Switch 2 frame rate and resolution, physical release teased, mouse controls supported, mods confirmed

During a live stream event today, CD Projekt Red detailed the frame rate and resolution for The Witcher 3 Remastered on Nintendo Switch 2 and commented on other aspects like a physical release teased, mouse controls, and mods.
The game is said to run at 720p in handheld mode while 1080p is the target when docked. For frame rate, it’s 30 to 40 FPS in handheld mode with VRR. When playing docked, 30-40 FPS is supported, with closer to 40 with a 120hz-compatible television.
As for a physical release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered on Nintendo Switch 2, CD Projekt Red also teased: “The news will come when the time is right.”
CD Projekt Red said it’s supporting all of the Nintendo Switch 2 playstyles. This includes support for elements like mouse controls, gyro, and touchscreen. Gyro and Pro Controller have settings for sensitivity, camera stabilization, and inverting controls. A dual-grip mode is also included.

Finally, mods will be available on Switch 2, but with some exceptions based on Nintendo’s guidelines and technical limitations such as an 8K textures mode. Ultimately, most mods will be available.
