Anil Kapoor is set to host India Ke Top 1 Percent, a new reality game show premiering September 19 on Star Plus. Featuring 100 participants and 13 common-sense-based questions, the show offers a collective prize pot of up to Rs 1 crore

Star Plus is set to bring a fresh reality format to weekend television with India Ke Top 1 Percent, premiering on September 19 at 8 PM. Hosted by Anil Kapoor, the show will feature 100 participants competing across 13 unpredictable rounds. Each contestant will start with Rs 1 lakh, while every mistake will contribute to a collective prize pool that can reach Rs 1 crore. Inspired by The 1 Percent Club, the show will feature everyday challenges, quirky pahelis and unexpected twists.
Anil Kapoor’s India Ke Top 1 percent gets release date
Anil Kapoor shares his thoughts on the show India Ke Top 1 percent, “I recently completed a couple of mock shoots for India Ke Top 1 percent, and I can already say that it is one of the most exciting projects I have taken up in recent times. Interacting with 100 participants and discovering their unique stories brings an incredible energy to the set.”
He further shared how the show caters to all age groups and relationship dynamics, “The best part is that it’s not just the participants who play the game – all of India can play along while watching the show on Star Plus or JioHotstar. From dada-dadi and saas-bahu to the youngest members, the entire family will be guessing, competing and laughing together. Ab har weekend hoga aur bhi mazedaar jab akkha India ek saath khelega mere saath!”
What the prize pot will have
He had earlier shared, “I am bringing India’s biggest game show, India Ke Top 1 percent. To win in this show, you need just one thing: COMMON SENSE. Here’s how it works – I will present 13 questions in front of you, all of them based on common sense. Each question will be answered by the players sitting in the studio – not one, not two, but 100 players at once. Every player will get Rs 1 lakh at the start of the game. As the players give wrong answers to the 13 questions, their Rs 1 lakh will keep getting transferred to our prize pot. By the end of the 13 questions, this prize pot can reach up to Rs 1 crore.”
Adding to the interactive nature of the show, he says, “And that’s not all! While the players play in the studio, you can also play sitting at home. Finally there’s a platform that rewards you for common sense, and all of India is invited to play!”
