
Expecting to celebrate its 20th anniversary next year, BOOM! San Diego Comic-Con was packed with people on Saturday morning as the studio gave a sneak preview of its upcoming project, BOOM! Studios: First to Discover the Future, in a panel. The publisher’s plans were announced at Penguin Random House Developed following the acquisition of the publisher.
Prosperity! Studio Editor-in-Chief Matt Gagnon Moderated a panel that included Development President Stephen ChristieVice President of Editorial Content and Strategy Bryce Carlsonand vice president of sales Josh Hayes.
Chief among the announcements is the “20 For 20” initiative, which will bring the popular BOOM! The franchise will be bundled as a comprehensive version, retailing for $20.
“It’s a really fun celebration, and we’re going to be taking a lot of the projects from our backlist that have multi-volume content, like eight or twelve issues, and putting them into omnibus editions that will be out there throughout next year. ‘s 20 projects,” Gagnon said. “And they’re all $20. It’s a great way to get in and discover some great books from 10, 15 years ago.
Participants in the “20 For 20” project include James Tyrion IV (Something is killing the children), Karen Bunn (empty person), John Allison (giant day), Christine Larson (Orcs!), Jeremy Haun (Red Mama), Greg Parker (Mecha trainee at), and Mark Wade (hopeless).
Also celebrating its 20th anniversary are David Peterson’s Mouse GuardAfter three years, the show will return with a new series in 2025. According to Christie, this will be the first time Peterson has collaborated with another artist on a full-length work Mouse Guard story.
“We should keep everyone guessing who the artist might be,” Carlson said. “We waited three years to find this artist. So, it’s something we’re very excited about.
Carlson also provided a sneak peek at the licensing expansion power rangers, duneand vast. A power rangers cross-projects with Atu Yongxinfang Set to be released in September, a new series of books titled Across the morphine grid Features originality power rangers The actor who plays the role of editor will hit the streets in October.
Christie updated attendees on the various film and television projects in development. Prosperity! Studios has teamed up with Nickelodeon to produce an upcoming 2G preschool animated series called HexVets and Magical PetsChristie calls it “Dr. Mike Stuffins meet harry potter“. Publisher also partners with Amazon Prime for movies Margaret Bennett’s Butterfly and Daniel King. The film will be released in 2025.
“It’s a father-daughter spy drama, with Daniel playing Jason Bourne trying to track down his daughter, who has become rebellious and understands spycraft better than he does,” Christie said. “We were lucky enough to be the first show to get greenlit after last year’s writers’ strike. We were the first Amazon show to film in South Korea.
New comics expected to launch in 2025 include Liebermejo’s vicious circlea new series Slaughter the universe Universe, and the team’s new book Gus Moreno and Jakub Rebelka, Jude Allison Doyle and Xiangfeng and Shaw Kirk.
